Our Founder
Chicago native, Chanelle Moragne, spent more than 15 years as an event planner, primarily for weddings and other family-focused special occasions. Creating beautiful spaces for her clients’ special days was rewarding and allowed her the opportunity to discover and develop her signature aesthetic and, eventually, hone her own unique furniture design skills. Ultimately, Chanelle desired to be more hands on in creating furniture and spaces that lasted more than one day.
With Oak & Heir, Chanelle is an artisan, creative designer, and builder. Her true passion now ignited, whether for a simple project like a step stool for her young son, or the construction of more sophisticated pieces such as floating shelves, coffee tables, or one-of-a-kind- easy chairs, Chanelle prides herself on creating furniture that is made from the highest quality materials and fully incorporates her clients’ unique personality and lifestyles.

Our wood furniture is not complete without one of Oak & Heir’s signature finishes. As our client, you will be able to choose from a selection of our unique signature wood finishes or mix our signature pigments to craft your own perfect shade. With either option, your furniture becomes an original creation.
+ Fabrication
From start to finish, each piece of furniture created by Oak & Heir is unique to you. Our goal is to assist our clients in creating timeless, durable furniture that fits their current lifestyle.
+ Design Consultation
An Oak & Heir team member will consult with you and provide initial sketches to begin the process of creating the furniture design of your dreams. We immediately incorporate your personal style into this initial sketch and will continue to provide our professional guidance as we create your furniture.
